I made it to level I am pretty much finished for now. I cannot find any combination of power ups that will take me any further. I have traded them around as much as I can. I just cannot find anything that helps. This game is challenging, but at some point it stops being fun.

I have reached that point. I prefer my games to be challenging, but also a bit of fun. This game has the little mermaid looking like it is light hearted I am off to play something that I enjoy. If someone finds some key, let us know. I have used all the tips here. This is it for me. Fishdom and Hidden Wonders of the Depths were also cute. My favorite match 3 games regardless of theme so far are Cradle of Rome, Cradle of Persia, and The Treasures of Montezuma Of all those above, Atlantis Quest you can actually lose lives in this one was the hardest for me, followed by Treasures of Montezuma.

The two "cradle" games are cool because you are building a city, so you accumulate a nice variety of supplies, tools, food, and so forth to build the city. The Monarch game can be played in timed or no time limit mode, and it is a really pretty game, though seeing the same flowers for a hundred rounds can get monotonous.

But it has ALOT of cool bombs and explosion effects. Treasures of Montezuma was an exceptionally well-designed game, in my opinion, even though the board is a simple rectangle each time with the same colors of stones, the gradual increase in difficulty and the availability of cool bonuses such as an extra time bonus was what made it a very good game for me.

Right now I am playing a game not available on BFG that is quickly becoming one of my favorite match 3 games. It is called "Pastry Passion". The name sounds corny, but the graphics are beautiful highly-detailed and rich, sort of cartoonish, but not annoyingly so , it is well-written some cute humor , and has a lot of variety in, as you might have guessed, dessert ingredients!

Who doesn't love dessert! It also gets gradually more difficult and there is a stand-alone arcade minigame included. Have fun! I will try some of the cradle games and see how I like them. Like I said, I like this concept due to the complexity, but it is just too hard for me to enjoy. Does anyone know of another game like this? Not a normal swap match three but this collapse type puzzle? Thanks SouLThinking. PC Also available on Mac. Play Now Download the free trial This game will not work on your operating system.

I play late when my brain is not peak performance so I prefer some challenge but not hard core. I played in custom mode- no tutorials but minimal penalties and recharges etc. I prefer to decide how much challenge I feel like enduring rather than let the game punish me, so I appreciate Custom mode. This delivered perfectly for me. A nice balance of HOPS to puzzles, well-designed and functional map the last game the to-do icons stopped appearing early on, super annoying.

Sound and voices are nice and nothing detracting as sometimes is the case. The artwork really sets it apart for me. I would categorize it more comparably like fantasy comics vs the classics like nouveau, deco, baroque, noir, atomic etc.

The colors are sharp, balanced and delightful. The designs are elegant in line and form with great depth and uniqueness. So refreshing. A wonderful departure from the ubiquitous grody, gloomy bug-infested, yuck strewn, dilapidated stylings or the "blurple", blue-magenta-purple deep, high-saturation colors, both of which I like in measure but sometimes make me crave a breath of fresh air.

This really delivered me from that into a place of expansive refreshing visions. Not too much gadget reliance, nor any silly critters- again I don't hate those things, but sometimes they can be over-done. It's nice to play a game that feels less encumbered and stifling. I found the puzzles easy to challenging enough to not be boring.

I used the hint maybe 3 times max to figure out where to go -- ie I couldn't intuit from my inventory or options what next. But mostly it was fluid and fun all the way. It was generously long, although I didn't time it. It seemed to keep going when I thought I was about at the end, another round of things to do and another, but not tediously so. I was grateful it didn't end as soon as I was thinking it was going to but not to the point where I was anxious to get to the finale.

I wrote what was probably a better review before but somehow when I closed the preview I lost it. Almost didn't bother rewriting it but I felt in the face of the luke-warm star rating this deserves it. I would say Amaranthine Voyage: Legacy of the Guardians ranks among my favorite of games I've played of late, and am so glad I gave it a try despite being put off by low ratings for a long time.

I encourage giving it a try if my review resonates. I'm only sorry that upon looking for more, it seems this was the second to the last Amaranthine Voyage from Eipix. This was by far my favorite of the series and I'd very much welcome more games like this.

Date published: Fantastic Graphics and Characters. Decent Length. Story so-so. My rating is based on playing the entire SE. It meets most of my requirements, such as decent length, interesting mini-games, finest art and excellent technique. Just select the color, find the right number, and fill the image with bright paints to bring them to life.
