Cancel Submit. In reply to RBass63's post on January 20, I ended up doing a clean install using the product key Belarc Advisor had extracted from the previous refurbish windows install. The install went great but windows still failed to activate using the refurbish product key. Since it was a clean install with 30 days to activate, it did allow me to log in and windows is working properly. I then used the Windows Product Key Update Tool Carey suggested and changed the product key to the one on the old original CoA label on the side of the case.
